Magic Mendez is a multi-dimensional musician, producer and recording artist who delivers major musical mojo with spectacular creations with his dynamic band Unified Tribe, as well as masterful studio work for industry legends and independent artists via his turnkey production company Magic Muzik Productions.  

With Magic Muzik Productions in 2009, Magic co-wrote and produced five of the ten songs featured on The Whisper's gospel album Thankful, including the CD's hit single, For Thou Art With Me.  This is the fourth project Magic has produced with The Whispers, who are considered one of the most successful vocal groups in soul music history with fifty R&B chart singles.  Thankful debuted at #3 on Billboard's Gospel Album chart.  Magic began playing live with The Whispers since 2010, touring throughout the US, Germany and England.     

Unified Tribe was nominated in 2007 for an American Black Music Award for the "Best Live Band" and was a 2009 SoulTracks nominee for "Duo/Group of the Year."  Unified Tribe's 2009 album On Purpose was nominated as "Album of the Year" on SoulTracks and the album’s single "Guilty" won a "2009 Auddie Award" from Artist Music Universe.  On Purpose follows the group's third album, FUNKtional Family, which featured the hit "Back and Forth" and reached #2 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart.  The album set the stage for Magic being honored with an American Black Music Award win for the “Best Neo Soul Performer, Male” in 2007. 

Selecto Steve of Select-O-Hits has described Unified Tribe as "talented to the point of perfection."  Barry Towler of the Vibe Scribe declares that "Magic is one of my favorite writer/producers of all time..."
